Audi R8 Spider convertible
The new “Spider”, the Audi R8 supercar, has been seen during testing in Germany. The convertible variant features a regular fabric roof, but does not feature the aluminum side blades which have become a widely loved part of the R8. Further features alluded to are chassis strengthening, the removal of the rear pillars, new air intakes located behind the seats and the addition of a pair of safety roll-over bars. The test car seen by onlookers appears to be the top end RS version, if the new grille design, the exhaust and diffusers are any indication. The R8 Spider will likely be shown at the Geneva Motor Show in March of next year.
