Not only is the horsepower war not over – contrary to AMG’s own declaration last year – the latest reports say it has moved into a whole new range of armaments: electric vehicles. The latest development is a possible all-electric powertrain for the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, which has also been revealed undisguised for the first time today thanks to a German enthusiast magazine.

As many of you know, the electric vehicle market is about to heat up. With many changes done in the aftermarket to regular gas guzzlers, the electric market has largely been unattended to by the traditional tuners. Of course minus the RUF electric Porsche and a few others.

Fiat will be unveiling the new Bugster concept next month in Brazil’s Sao Paolo Motor Show. It is due to feature an electric motor and it is basically the electric vehicle that the company plans to build for the Brazilian market.
