It seems I have touched on an interesting subject about our local Rick Perry and his latest forum addition www.BonnevilleForum.com. I got this e-mail this afternoon:

Well, I read your article about Mr. Perry and his acquisition of the BonnevilleClub. I just thought I would let you know that all of the original members and staff have moved on to greener pastures and zero adds at our own site www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com We have the greater knowledge on these cars along with a family friendly atmosphere. We are by no means troublemakers and have no reason to cause trouble at the old site. It is like beating a dead horse. It really doesn’t matter what Mr. Perry does to advertise his site, our site will remain the #1 source of information and friendship for owners of the Pontiac Bonneville. Just look around at the post count per day and how many hits each site gets per day….

You can send my congratulations to Mr. Perry on buying a sinking ship.

Did I mention that Mr. Perry looks up people’s employers and makes harassing phone calls to people’s bosses? That doesn’t sound right to me…

I’m not quite sure what to make of this as I have not heard from both sides. I will do some minor follow up and see what Mr. Perry has to say about the subject.

Local Internet Entrepreneur Rick Perry (not to be confused with Texas governor) has completed his latest acquisition, which is www.BonnevilleForum.com.

The site has been under lockdown for more then 2 months, due to disruptions between members and staff. The purchase brings the current member count at FM to just over 183,000 users, which is larger then the population of the city of Oakville.

The forum is expected to prosper and continue to provide historical background information on the Pontiac Bonneville, which is a mid-size vehicle produced by Pontiac between 1957 and 2005.

The previous staff and past troublemakers are most likely not expecting to deal with such a seasoned forum veteran as Mr. Perry in their quest to disrupt the site.
