It’s been a while since Audi has gone back to it’s roots. Thankfully that has changed with the new introduction of it’s turbocharged 5 cylinder engine. The 340hp 2.5L motor is the driving force behind the lightning quick acceleration and superior road handling.

Steve Rattner, the managing partner of a $6 billion New York hedge fund, will lead the Treasury Department’s auto efforts, an official said Monday.

Rattner will join the Treasury Department as counselor to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, “where he will serve as an adviser on a variety of economic and financial matters, and will lead the Treasury’s efforts with regard to the automobile sector,” an administration official said today.

The rising value of the yen is making it ever more difficult for the Japanese automakers to turn a profit, which has forced Nissan to shift some of its Japanese production. In a bid to cut global costs and safeguard itself against the rising yen, Nissan will shift some of its production from Japan to Mexico.
